What is the Refraction of Light? Refraction is all about bending of light. It is the process by which a ray of light changes direction when it passes from one medium to another. Light travels slower in air than in water or glass, so light coming out of water looks bent, because it entered the water at an angle.
In kerala syllabus physics chapter 5 Refraction of Light is the bending of a wave when passing from one medium to another. If a wave passes from a medium with a lower optical index of refraction to a medium with a higher optical index of refraction, it will bend toward the normal . This is called refraction .
