KTU S6 Comprehensive Course Work Guidelines For Students
- Students should enter the examination hall and take their seats 15 minutes before the scheduled examination time. Before the exam begins, it is necessary to complete filling in the attendance report and the back page of the answer sheet, recording the barcode, etc.
- Immediately after the exam begins, please check the question booklet you received for any unprinted, torn or missing pages or items, etc. If so, replace it with the complete question sheet.
- 2 barcodes must be inserted in the space provided on the answer sheet.
- Use the blue/black ballpoint pen only to darken the squares/circles.
- Do not fold, mutilate or damage the answer sheet, do not make extraneous marks.
- Do not write anything on the answer sheet other than the specific information requested.
- Approximate sheets/tables/diagrams will not be allowed/provided to the candidate; rough work can be done on the question paper itself.
- Calculators or any other computing devices are not permitted.
- Do not write anything on the back of the answer sheet except the total number of questions attended in numbers and words.
- Do not use correction fluids/erasers. Once marked, answers will be final.
- Each question carries one mark. There are no negative points for incorrect answers.
- The total number of questions is 50, and the duration of the exam is 60 minutes.
- Each question will be accompanied by 4 answer choices, of which only ONE is correct. If you think there is more than one correct answer, choose the best one.
- If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as an incorrect answer, even if one of the given answers turns out to be correct.
- Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall until the end of the examination.
- Candidates are allowed to take the question booklet which is issued to them after the examination.

What is a comprehensive exam in KTU?
The purpose of this coursework is to provide comprehensive knowledge to each student in the most fundamental core courses in the curriculum. Five core courses are enrolled from semesters 3, 4 and 5 and are selected for detailed study in this term paper. This course helps the learner to become competent in cracking GATE, taking placement tests and other competitive examinations.
How is a comprehensive exam conducted at KTU?
It will be contected in Objective multiple choice questions, maximum of four options (Option A, B, C, D). The questionnaire contains fifty questions of one mark each, distributed equally across all five specified courses.
What is the Pass Mark in the Comprehensive Exam?
In order to pass this examination, a student must obtain a minimum of 50% marks of the total Marks. So in a Comprehensive Exam, Its total marks are 50, and its passing marks would be 50x50% which is equal to 25.
